Israel Reyes designed and built the starter site that now ships inside every Builderius installation. Israel is the same developer who built the Builderius website while the product was still in beta. We asked him to do something different this time: build a full production-quality site using only what the free version of Builderius offers.

The result is a modern architectural studio theme. Two homepage variants, a dynamic projects section with individual project pages, an about page, a contact page, a style guide, and a custom 404. Dark and light mode with a theme toggle. OKLCH color system. Responsive throughout.

What makes it useful as a starter is what it teaches you. The site uses the Builderius CSS framework the way it is meant to be used. Built-in components for header and footer. Default elements for layout. Templates with dynamic data pulling from WordPress posts and custom fields. CSS variables and selectors organized in a way you can read, understand, and modify.

The style guide page is worth a look on its own. Typography scale, badge variants in four styles, cards in flexbox and grid layouts, form patterns, accordion variations. It is a component reference inside a working site. Change a root variable and watch it cascade.

This is not a rigid template you have to work around. It is a reference architecture. Take it apart, swap sections, replace the content, change the colors, or just study how it is put together and build your own from what you learn.

Full WordPress data portability

Import/export in Builderius used to cover builder items. Templates, components, CSS, releases. Everything that belongs to the Builderius layer.

This release expands that to full WordPress data. Posts, pages, custom post types, taxonomies, fields, media. Not just the builder structure. The content that lives inside it.

What this means in practice: you can now package and move an entire site. Builder structure and WordPress content together. Migration in, migration out. Your data is fully portable, and nothing is locked inside Builderius that you cannot take with you.
